David completed his 200 hour RYT in April 2017 with Sumit Banerjee at Sumit’s Hot Yoga in Colleyville, TX. He specializes in Mindful Resilience, the collection of mind-body practices that include Breathing, Meditation, Mindful Movement, Guided Rest, and Gratitude.

These tools help you breathe easy, focus clearly, move freely, rest deeply, and remember what is working in your lives. He is teaming up with Veterans Yoga Project to offer this extraordinary opportunity for intensive practice in a proven, mindful approach to teaching yoga to veterans and others who are struggling with post traumatic stress and other trauma-related psychological difficulties.

Mindful Resilience for Recovery and Resilience is an evidence-informed, clinically-tested yoga program that was developed specifically for veterans recovering from posttraumatic stress and other psychological difficulties. It is an evidence-informed, in that practices have been chosen and adapted based on clinical and neuro-scientific knowledge about posttraumatic stress and its treatment. It is clinically-tested, in that it was developed based on feedback from hundreds of veterans and active-duty service members receiving treatment at residential and outpatient treatment programs. Mindful Resilience has been successfully integrated into mental health and addiction treatment programs for veterans and active-duty military across the US and Canada.

Dr. Vivian Carrasco is a modern mystic known for her unique self-expression and inspirational style of teaching that incorporates both the mental, physical and divine aspects of the practice of yoga. Her classes integrate vinyasa flow asana (linking movement with breath) with the application of precise alignment and intention to create an inner journey towards healing and transformation.

Vivian's work continues to evolve and is focused on the nature and development of our spiritual consciousness working with groups and individuals to develop their personal spiritual effort through a daily spiritual practice. Her method and core teaching is centered on the skill and practice of Love.Being.Human. a harmony between the mind, body and spirit leading you to think and be a little bit different. The Being in your doing naturally unfolds your own personal truth, gifts, and unique voice. She is devoted to "re-thinking" and and "un-learning" changing your "default-mode" of consciousness to lead a richer more productive and satisfying life from the inside out.

Vivian completed her doctoral program, specializing in leadership development and had a long and successful career working with local, regional and national organizations forming partnerships through stronger relationships and deeper connections before the near-death experience (NDE) in 2013 that gave birth to her Love.Being.Human. teaching and led her to yoga, life coaching and spiritual development.

Vivian began teaching adults in group programs and workshops in 1997. She completed her 200 hour RYT in 2014 with Sumit Banerjee at Sumit’s Hot Yoga in Fort Worth, TX.

Vivian is a Master Certified Life Coach. She's trained extensively in expanding self-awareness, the complexities of the human psyche, the science and intelligence of the body and universal spiritual wisdom traditions. She comes from a lineage of Curanderas, recently learning that her grandmother was an indigenous mestizo healer for her community.
